The demands on today’s floor coatings are high and over the years a variety of high-grade epoxy resin has developed to upgrade surfaces, obtain colored effects, protect concrete against corrosion and to achieve general water tightness and thus a longer durability of surfaces. With their reliable systems and excellent qualities, epoxy floor coatings meet today’s floor binding demands. They range from epoxy terrazzo, garage floor coatings and metallic epoxy coatings and can be installed over most clean, properly prepared concrete slabs.
Epoxy floor coatings always consist of a surface preparation, the priming, coating and sealing. Different individual components are combined to achieve a coat; a high-grade, long-lived surface. The coating thickness and selection of the coating system depends on the application and the surface in each case.
Epoxy floors become very attractive when adding colored silica. Epoxy floor coatings provide a sanitary, skid-proof surface even when wet and is dust-free and resistant to acids, therefore suitable for the industry. Epoxy floor coating complies well to a concrete surface, (old or new, metal, tiles, wood etc.) and has a high resistance to abrasion and chemicals, (alkalis, gasoline, greases, thawing salts, and solvents).
